The Legislative Committee works with the MAAPPN board and members to form and implement legislation action in order to promote, protect and expand the role of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses in Massachusetts while ensuring access to behavioral health care for the patients we serve.

The Professional Practice Committee addresses current and proposed matters related to advanced psychiatric nursing practice. These matters are brought to the committee by MAAPPN members and the Board.

The Membership Committee is responsible for member recruitment and retention as well asrun periodic surveys to assess member needs

Committees can evolve depending on the needs of MAAPPN Membership. Two under consideration in 2023 include “Preceptor/Student Support” and “Peer Supervision” . Next steps involve the designation of a Chair and member recruitment. Please contact Kathleen Andolina to join in!
