LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
The Legislative Committee works with the MAAPPN board and members to influence legislation and health care policy in order to promote, protect and expand the role of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses in Massachusetts while ensuring access to behavioral health care for the patients we serve.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE COMMITTEE
The Professional Practice Committee addresses current and proposed matters related to advanced psychiatric nursing practice. These matters are brought to the committee by MAAPPN members and the Board.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee is responsible for member recruitment and retention through developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to serve MAAPPN members and survey the needs and interests of existing and potential members. The Chair sits on the MAAPPN Board and collaborates on MAAPPN’s mission and goals. The committee provides feedback regarding current information technology (IT) and other strategies used to build revenue. Other activities include surveying current perceptions about our organization within the Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing Community.
