Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist (part-time, 50%)

MIT Medical’s Mental Health and Counseling Service seeks a nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist to join a large, outpatient, multidisciplinary mental health team with eclectic orientation. Responsibilities include the evaluation and acute treatment of patients who present over the weekend, collaboration with other staff members, and serving as a liaison with Institute staff over the weekend.
Requirements: current MA license and certification as a CNS and extensive clinical experience demonstrating both clinical and community outreach expertise. Skills should include emergency and crisis intervention and psychopharmacology. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team is essential.
Will work every other weekend, but also come in during the week to meet with a staff psychiatrist and attend team meetings and other events as needed. Schedule to be determined.
Beginning August 1, 2015, MIT Medical will conduct a background check (including checking criminal and sexual offender records) for finalists.
